Rua das Pretras
Rua das Pretas is a weekly international gathering of friends, wine and song, blending bossa, fado, jazz and conversation to an audience of fellow artists and gypsies. Where Buena Vista Social Club meets Tropicália, Rua das Pretas is a celebration and exploration of Lusophone culture past, present and future: from the sighs of fado and the pleasures of samba to the back streets of flamenco and blues. It's a music that is passed from hand to hand amongst friends and fellow artists, kept alive by the holy communion of song and story. Sometimes whispered, sometimes sung, and always in motion.
